Nassarius Snails in a Barebottom Tank

Does anyone have any experience with keeping Nass snails in a barebottom tank? I know they need sand, so where do they go in a barebottom tank? They won't die without sand, will the?

i have 4 in a nuvo 4 bare bottom.. they do just fine.. the only concern i would have is since u have hermits.. it wouldn't be ideal to have them cause the nassarius snails in the morning just stay idle and are vulnerable to hermit attacking them
