    need help choosing a skimmer

    ok so im goin to be building 60 cube and cant decide between 2 skimmers

    vertex omega 130

    Well after so many people chimed in on the poll and read a few things over the internet looks like the das vertex won... found a few threads say people needed to mod the RO's oulet tube to get it to run consistently and I for 1 will not pay 3 or 4 hundred dollars to have to mod a skimmer... and I like the fact that I only need 1" of room to remove collection cup bc it threads on

    it was a lil more then just cost if I got the int model instead of sss it would be same price it was more the fact that it seams that ro will just use other pipe parts they have laying around then stick to original design if they run out just to get them built and I dont like that

    mod . i had a 1000 and 2000 and never had to mod them .

    well there were more then a few that said there skimmer outlet didnt match the stock dem and it was longer then it was suppose to be im sure not all of them r wrong but why take the chance and have to deal with all that when its not necessary

    I would go LED, cheaper.....less heat................no bulb replacement costs
