Thread: GSP removal

    GSP removal

How do I remove a patch of undesired GSP? I have a couple random quarter sized patches growing far from the colony from which I assume spawned them.

mix a little kalkwasser paste and spackle over them. Should work pretty quickly.

Is kalk just calcium carbonate? I don't use it for my tank, but I do have some pure calcium carbonate powder (for lizards).

I used Kalk paste to kill palys on a rock and I assume it should work for GSP as well. It took no time at all and it did an amazing job.

Yeah, calcium hydroxide it is. Anyone have a little bit? I'm in Pilsen, near downtown.

If you feel like coming up North I can help you out.
I use Ms Wages Pickling lime found at your local grocer. Its the same thing (calcium hydroxide) and will run you about 4$.
