I thought I saw it for $100 somewhere...talked to a friend that was thinking about it and in his research, he found that it became unreliable over time (needing cleaning to be accurate, etc.). For a hundo, I'd probably try it because it's quite promising. For anymore than, I'd stick to ma Apex

Seneye is a huge thing over in Britain; they get a lot of good press in PFK. personally, I wouldn't trust a product that the design team didn't take the time to make look decent, but it may well be as good as the European Hype!

I'm familiar with the brand but have never paid much attention to their products. I'm curious as to how this performs in real life. Especially the PAR measurements.
Custom Pico Aquarium 45g DT w/Starfire Front & Sides, 12g Custom Advanced Acrylics Sump & Refugium,
Ecotech Radion Pro G3 LEDs (2 Modules), 2 Ecotech Mp40QD, Tunze ATO, Nyos Quantum 120 Skimmer,
Ecotech Vectra M1 Return Pump, 200w Eheim Heater,
    JBJ Artica 1/15 Chiller |
And a whole lot of fabulous!

$169 for something to measure PAR would almost be worth it. The eBay seller does have great feedback.

its technically reading lux and using the 3.1x lux to par conversion, the apogee meter is also lux but is using a special optic fiter that makes the conversion which is a bit more of an accurate method, still for a SWAG number it would be fine.

Hmmm, perhaps CLR should buy one for a review. that might be a fun contest, but if you win you have to do a write up. Probably have to keep it to colony members just to make sure it's someone committed to our community as much as we can. What do you guys think?

I think that is a great idea! We should have an official CLR Reviewer who is objective, brutally honest and Jewish. Then give it away to a lucky Colony member!!
